Muutto ulkomaille?

Ulkomaille muutaa vuosittain yli 8000 suomalaista. Lähtösyitä ei eritellä, mutta yleensä muutetaan joko töiden, opiskelun tai rakkauden perässä. Useimmat haluavat palata takaisin Suomeen jossakin vaiheessa, ainakin joksikin aikaa. Myös Suomeen muuttavien ulkomaalaisten määrä lisääntyy, koska tietyillä sektoreilla on työvoimapula. Sekä maailmalle lähtevät suomalaiset että tänne tulevat ulkomaalaiset tarvitsevat tukea, jotta asettautuminen uuteen kulttuuriin ja aikanaan takaisin kotimaahan sujuisivat mahdollisimman hyvin.

Finland has signed the Framework Agreement on cross-border telework!

The agreement will provide the possibility for employers and employees to maintain the social security coverage in the country of the employer, even if an employee teleworks from his/her home country 49% of total working time. Normal rules allow a maximum of 25% working time in the home country, without the obligation for the employer to change the social security legislation to that country.

Telework agreement enters into force on 1 July 2023, for those countries who sign it by that time. For now, almost 20 countries have informed their intention to sign the agreement.

More practical information and the guidelines for the implementation of the agreement will be published on the Finnish Centre for Pensions website later in June.
