The integration assistance for immigrants was discontinued on 1 January 2015. It was replaced by the labour market subsidy, with a rate of payment equal to that of the integration assistance. Payments will continue without interruption.

Customers need not take any action, and there will be no interruption in payment. Kela will send customers a letter of decision describing the change.

The amount of the labour market subsidy in 2015 is EUR 32.80 per day. One of the eligibility conditions for the labour market subsidy is that recipients must register with the TE Office as an unemployed jobseeker. Those who have already registered must keep up their jobseeker status and notify Kela of the days they are without work, just as was the case with the integration assistance.
